Kawai form

Batata's kawai form is purple and round, its wings are violet. It also has cyan spikes.

Booster mode

Batata's body resembles a bat. It also has silver rings on its ankles.

Batata has numerous innate abilities shared across its species, such as:

• Flight: Batata is able to fly in its basic and booster forms, the only exception is when it is trapped in one of the Boo Caps.
• Intangibility: Batata can phase through walls, floors, and generally solid objects. Batata can also phase through humans and animals, but that usually causes their power to work on them when doing so.
• Possession: By possessing objects, Batata can gain alternative versions of its booster mode and will gain different but enhanced powers than the ones in its basic form.

Batata's unique power is mutating people into bats that can turn others into bats. It can also create a growing sphere of darkness that absorbs energy empowering itself more by every means. Those energized objects that enter within the sphere are absorbed by Batata allowing it to increase its spherical size. Its weakness is a huge gust of light which can penetrate through the shields created by the ghost.
