Let's neutralize its scrubbers. Fury, you take the left, Myst, you take the right. I'll hang back to finish up.

Krush, "Bubble-Brush"

Note: It's unknown what the official name of this ghost specimen is. For consistency and readability, the ghost would be addressed by its merger name "Bubble-Brush" until there is confirmation from any official sources.

This unnamed ghost specimen is a Level 6 wild ghost from the flexible family.[2]

In "Bubble-Brush", it was awakened from its nest after Rajat tripped onto the fire extinguisher at the American Museum of Natural History. It later merged with the Baker family's washing machine and briefly became Bubble-Brush.[note 1]

Appearance[]

Kawai mode[]

In its kawai mode, it is a spherical ghost with multiple humps on its head that resemble bubbles. It has light blue eyes, darker blue scleras, a light blue tongue, and two white upper fangs. It also has a pair of long flexible arms that have spherical fingers.

As Bubble-Brush[]

Upon merging with a washing machine, Bubble-Brush's face becomes the top of the receptacle. Its tongue becomes purple, while its hands are turned into scrub brushes that have blue and pink bristles.

Abilities[]

  • Flight: Bubble-Brush can fly in both its kawai and booster modes.
  • Intangibility: Bubble-Brush can phase through walls, floors, and generally solid objects. The only exception is when it is trapped in the Ghost Cloud or one of the Boo Caps. Every time it phases through solid objects, it leaves a foam of bubbles behind.
  • Possession: As a merger ghost, it can gain additional powers by possessing objects. The only receptacle it was seen merged with was a washing machine.
  • Bubble Mouth: The ghost can rub its bubble hands onto people's mouths to wash them out with soap. This would cause victims to become intelligible since their mouths would be completely covered in bubbles.
  • Scrubbers: As Bubble-Brush, it can use its scrubber arms to mimic a washing machine's spin cycle with its surroundings. It would place one of its fists onto the ground and cause nearby objects to spin within a large radius, while also leaving behind a massive wave of soapy water.
  • Spin Cycle: Because it merged with a washing machine, Bubble-Brush would activate the spin cycle to charge both the soap and the water from the inside of its body. It then opens the machine's door to fire a large amount of water onto its targets until it runs out of soap.

Trivia[]

  • As revealed on the 2021 Ghostforce brand deck by Ypsilon Films, Bubble-Brush's name was originally going to be "Boo Clean".[3]
  • In the French version, the name of the ghost's booster mode is Frouskimous. The name seems to be a portmanteau of the French words "frousse" and "mou". "Frousse" means scare, while "mou" refers to something soft.
  • Bubble-Brush is one of the many ghosts whose specimen was recently discovered by the Ghostforce.
  • The ghost's cycle level was never mentioned in its titular episode. Rather, it was only revealed in an issue of the official magazine series.[2]
    • While the magazine series has mostly accurate information about a featured ghost, Bubble-Brush was mislabeled as a spectral ghost on the information page.
  • This is the first known ghost that was named by Krush instead of either Miss Jones or Fury.
  • Bubble-Brush's attack being washing people's mouths with soap is a reference to a physical punishment that was commonly used between the early-to-mid 20th century.
