Trivia[]

  • The episode introduces the possibility of ghosts being extraterrestrial origins.
    • Stacy sarcastically asked if the class would use Professor Pascal's megascope to "watch dinosaurs in space". Her comment foreshadows "Dinozos" which features a dinosaur-themed ghost.
    • When Glowboo analyzes Chaorion, one of the screens in his analysis shows a planet that the ghost originated from and is located lightyears away from Earth.
      • However, it's currently unknown if every ghost originated from that planet or if they spread across the Milky Way before many of them arrived on Earth.
    • Because Miss Jones instantly recognizes Chaorion after Glowboo analyzes its Boo Energy, it's indirectly revealed that she's studying the origins of ghosts and learned a lot about them when she was an active member of the Ghostforce.
  • Professor Pascal's first invention is a megascope, a large telescope that can allow users to observe the stars and planets from outer space.
  • This episode marks the first time the team discovered a new ghost that arrived from outer space.
  • When Myst contacts Miss Jones about Chaorion, the scientist is playing Spook Out. The game previously appeared in "Raijin", but this is the first time the gameplay is seen instead of the leaderboard.
  • After Myst accidentally knocks Krush away when Chaorion redirects her spectral arrow, Krush crashes into a billboard featuring his father.
    • This episode confirmed to the audience that Mr. Collins plays for the Dragons basketball team, something that was previously hinted in "Scream Scratch" and "Gumglue". It also explains why Andy was excited to wear a Dragons jersey his sister ordered for him in the latter episode.
  • This is the twentieth episode where one or more member(s) of the Ghostforce team got affected by a wild ghost's power.
  • This is the second episode where the "Strange" ghost family is known as the "Bizarro", following "Pharaok". The official Ghostforce refers to Pharaok, another member, as part of the "Strange" family.[2] However, it's possible the team uses both "Strange" and "Bizarro" interchangeably.
  • This is the second episode where the team must capture a level nine wild ghost to prevent it from reproducing itself, following "Xhypno".
    • Coincidentally, both Chaorion and Xhypno have mind-controlling powers that they use on the Manhattanites so they can reproduce.
  • Miss Jones mentioned to Myst, Krush, and Glowboo that "a level nine ghost would want to reproduce itself". This implies not only the team use the level system to know how powerful a ghost is, but they also want to know if a specific ghost reaches its maturity level where it would reproduce.
  • The ending of the episode reveals that the satellite that detected Chaorion's arrival is owned by KassKorp Industry. While Nolan Kasenti himself doesn't appear, it's heavily implied he is secretly trying to study the origin of ghosts by launching his company's satellite into space.
    • "Grump King" reveals that Miss Jones is hiding from Mr. Kasenti, so the satellite must have also been used to look for her from space. The episode's ending shows the satellite taking a picture of New York City and parts of Jersey City.

Errors[]

  • One of Professor Pascal's pop quiz questions is about Mercury's atmosphere. Technically, the planet has little atmosphere due to its surface gravity being too weak. Instead of an atmosphere, Mercury possesses a thin exosphere.
    • In addition, Liv's answer to the question is wrong. Mercury's exosphere may have oxygen, but it doesn't have nitrogen or argon. Instead, it's mostly composed of helium, sodium, potassium, and hydrogen.
  • When Calvin walks through Central Park, he loses his hair for a while and becomes bald.
