Dinozos is a Level 5 wild ghost from the spectral family.
In "Dinozos", it was awakened from its nest by the smell of Andy Baker's Cave Dog.
Appearance[]
Kawai mode[]
Dinozos is a lime-green ghost with a rounded body, four white spikes on its back, four small limbs, and a short tail. It has light green eyes, black scleras, a red tongue, and two white lower fangs.
Booster mode[]
In its booster mode, Dinozos's physical appearance resembles a lime-green Tyrannosaurus rex. However, unlike an actual T-rex, it has two toes instead of three. It also has green saliva from its mouth and a lighter green underbelly.
History[]
Pre-Series[]
Dinozos was estimated to have first arrived on Earth during the Paleolithic period (c. 3.3 million – c. 11,700 BC). It crash-landed somewhere on the planet where it proceeded to attack the early humans by transforming them into T-rex skulls before switching to booster mode. At one point during its rampage, Dinozos ran across a pair of humans cooking a wild boar that was recently hunted. The ghost chased after the two humans and tried to eat the roasted boar. Eventually, after reaching peak fear, Dinozos went to sleep inside a toe bone that belonged to a deceased Tyrannosaurus rex, which was later buried underground. A cave painting was created by a human who witnessed Dinozos's attack, depicting the ghost chasing after the two people holding the boar.
However, because Dinozos arrived during prehistoric times, early humans were unable to provide any evidence to prove the existence of ghosts. Its booster mode was mistaken for an actual T-rex despite dinosaurs already extinct before the arrival of humans. The skeletal remains of the T-rex, including Dinozos's nest, were eventually discovered by archeologists and are currently being preserved as a museum piece at the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan, New York City. In the late 20th century, Miss Jones came across the cave painting during her undergraduate studies and correctly assumed that the "T-rex" was actually a ghost.
Season 1[]
In "Dinozos", the left skeletal leg of the T-rex was lent to the NYC school for Professor Pascal's class on paleontology. Before Professor Pascal started class, Andy Baker and his friends were at the Ghost Dog where he tried out Roland's Cave Dog, a hot dog that was topped with two slices of roasted boar. He later brought the Cave Dog inside the school and was about to finish it, but the smell of roasted boar unintentionally awakened Dinozos from its million-year slumber. The ghost then attacked Professor Pascal and his students in the school foyer by transforming them into T-rex skulls, gaining Boo Energy from each victim.
When it overheard Andy, Liv Baker, and Mike Collins running to the NYC school library, the ghost ambushed them there and transformed Mike into a T-rex skull. This caused the students to all panic, and Dinozos converted their screams into Boo Energy before going to booster mode. Andy and Liv, who were both the only students left not transformed, quickly hid from Dinozos and were about to sneak away when it began searching the library. However, Andy's ghostphone suddenly rang loudly and caught Dinozos's attention. The ghost was unable to catch the Baker siblings since they both managed to get out of the library safely and secretly headed to the underground laboratory via their lockers.
After Dinozos couldn't find the Baker siblings anywhere in the school, it left the building and continued its rampage in the city. It was at 5th Avenue when the Ghostforce suddenly arrived on the Ghost Car. The ghost, seeing the vehicle as a threat, approached the heroes and quickly dodged two incoming ice-scream projectiles that were fired by Fury. Dinozos realized that the Ghostforce was trying to muzzle its jaws with Freezofear's Boo Energy, so it grabbed the entire vehicle with its mouth and tossed it away to Central Park.
Later, Myst appeared in front of Dinozos and showed it a Cave Dog. It curiously sniffed the hot dog and immediately recognized the same smell that awakened it from its slumber. Dinozos was then lured to Central Park where the Ghost Car was waiting to fire the cannons at it. Despite Myst suddenly running out of Boo Energy before she could reach the vehicle, she opened a spectral gate underneath the Cave Dog and have it fall towards the ghost's mouth. Shortly after Dinozos swallowed the entire Cave Dog, Fury suddenly fired the cannons at the mouth and froze it. This allowed him to release Dragoyle and deboost a stunned Dinozos back to its kawai mode before capturing it, restoring everyone to normal. It was later sent to the Ghost Cloud where it now resides with the other captive ghosts.
Abilities[]
- Levitation: Dinozos can only levitate in its kawai mode.
- Intangibility: Dinozos can phase through solid objects. The only exceptions are when it is trapped in the Ghost Cloud or one of the Boo Caps. However, in its booster mode, Dinozos can stand on solid ground.
Dinozos can transform people into mini floating piranha-like skulls that resemble a T-rex, which can be spread to other living beings.

Trivia[]
- As revealed on the 2021 Ghostforce brand deck by Ypsilon Films, Dinozos's name was originally going to be "Rexar".[1]
- An early design for a dinosaur-themed ghost was created by David François in around 2018. However, it's currently unknown if it was another early design for Dinozos.[2]
- Dinozos's name is a portmanteau of the English words "dinosaur" and "bozos".
- Despite being a Level 5, Dinozos is said to be the oldest known ghost on Earth. It is also the first known ghost to be recorded in human history.
- Dinozos was shown to have an appetite for roasted boar, but because of its intangible body, the ghost was unable to ingest the Cave Dog which phased right through it.
- According to Miss Jones, Dinozos is from an extremely rare specimen.
- Dinozos, Pharaok, Piraniak, Grump King, and Freakking are the only known ghosts to have been asleep in their nests for centuries before their eventual awakening. Out of the five, Dinozos had slept the longest.
- Dinozos and Piktoo are the only known ghost specimens that have a physical appearance similar to a dinosaur.
