Miss Jones, "Mizuo"

Droplet is a Level 7 wild ghost from the flexible family.[3]

In "Mizuo", it was awakened from its nest after Bobby accidentally spilled it onto the rooftop. It later merged with a water tower and briefly became Mizuo.

Appearance[]

Kawai mode[]

Droplet is a light-blue ghost that resembles a small cephalopod. It has a light-blue face with blue eyes, black scleraes, and two fangs. The rest of its body resembles water, including its four small nubby tentacles and its head that has a similar appearance to a conically shaped hat.

Booster mode[]

Upon merging with a water tower, the tank became Mizuo's face and body. The service pipes became four legs for Mizuo to walk on, the left arm is a water pipe that uses a cannon, and the right arm is a steel ladder. Its sclerae became cerulean blue and its mouth had two lower fangs. The water tower's roof also had a water drop symbol at the front.

Abilities[]

  • Flight: Droplet can only fly in its kawai mode. However, in its merged form, it could only walk and jump.
  • Intangibility: Droplet can phase through walls, floors, and generally solid objects. The only exception is when it is trapped in the Ghost Cloud or one of the Boo Caps. However, in its merged form, Mizuo could stand on solid ground.
  • Possession: As a merger ghost, Droplet can gain additional powers by possessing objects. However, unlike most merger ghosts, it doesn't need to ingest people's fear before finding a receptacle. The only receptacle it was seen merged with was a water tank.
  • Water Breath: As demonstrated by another member of its specimen, Droplet can release water from its mouth to attack enemies. However, this ghost's kawai mode power isn't shown in "Mizuo".
  • Aqua Blast: As Mizuo, it could use its arm like a water cannon and shoot a powerful blast of water to knock its enemies away.
  • Aqua Jet: Because Mizuo is unable to levitate in its booster mode, it can use its arms as a jetpack by shooting powerful streams of water downward. This power is unused, but confirmed on the official Ghostforce website.[3]
  • Tentacular Plumbing: Mizuo was capable of haunting any water tubes, water tanks, and other plumbing utilities connected to the same water circuit. This would allow the ghost to multiply itself and form a pack of clones.
  • Alpha Roar: Mizuo lets out a powerful roar that calls all the members of its pack to come back to its position.

Trivia[]

  • Droplet's name refers to its physical appearance being similar to a small drop of water. Its name was confirmed on the official Ghostforce website since it was never mentioned in "Mizuo".[3]
    • "Mizuo" is a reference to the Japanese word "mizu" (水), meaning "water".
  • Droplet, Freezofear, Spong, and Arak are currently the only known merger ghosts without requiring to ingest people's fear before finding a receptacle to merge with.
    • Upon its awakening in "Mizuo", Droplet not once scared any of the kids presented at the rooftop nearby because it immediately merged with the water tower.
  • The official Ghostforce website revealed that Droplet is from an uncommon specimen.[3]
    • There are two Droplets within the specimen that appeared near the end of the opening sequence; one being in its kawai mode and the other being Mizuo.
    • Another member of its specimen appeared in the comic story "Mizuo" from the third issue of the Ghostforce magazine series.
  • Miss Jones compared Mizuo's mannerisms to that of an Amazonian wolf since it served as an alpha to its clones.
    • The supercomputer interface revealed that Mizuo had created seventeen clones of itself during its attack in Manhattan.
  • Despite Droplet being a Level 7 ghost, an animation error depicted it being captured in a Boo Cap reserved for ghosts with a cycle level between 2 and 6.
  • In "Dunky Boss", Mizuo is featured on Miss Jones's supercomputer database in the training room of the underground laboratory. However, it wouldn't make sense for Mizuo to appear since it would require her to find a water tank for the ghost to merge with. It's likely only Droplet's kawai mode may be used for a training session since it has water breath as its attack.
