The Ectocaps are Technoghost communicators charged with Boo Energy capable of transforming the Ghostforce trio into their heroic forms that allow them to protect New York City from ghosts. From time to time, they are also used to communicate with Miss Jones in their civilian forms.

In order for each memeber to transform, an Ectocap must be placed against a user's chest, followed by the user saying their hero name. Then, a blast of energy covers their body, forming a suit around them with this energy. To detranstorm, they must remove the Ectocaps from their chest.

Abilities[]

Physical Enhancements[]

An active Ectocap grants it's weilder enhanced physical abilities, like speed, strength and agility, as well as near invulnerability. It is also capable of curing impairments entirely while in the transformed state, as is the case with Mike's lack of glasses as Krush.

Special Tools[]

Each Ectocap has a special connection with a tool that grants them the ability to summon them out of thin air. However, only one tool can be stored as part of their powers to summon, as seen in in "Zipzap" when the Fractal Visor was not in full control of Krush to summon. Though, this can be minimal in some cases if the tool is made entirely from ectoplasm, such as Fury's shield. It is also heavily implied that an Ectocap weilder can summon an extra tool within their Ectocaps when the tool reaches it's transportable form, either by connecting the specified tool with an Ectocap or by teleporting it from the underground laboratory via a tube that is controlled by the Interface.

Superpowers[]

The greatest benefit of the Ectocap is that each one grants a special superpower, while also granting other useful powers shared across the team, such as flight and intangiblity. While a user may transform at any time, their suit relies on Boo Energy in order to function effectively and grant the weilder their powers. In which way their suit re-charges after a mission, however, is currently unknown. The powers they may receive are also based on the variation of the specified energy. For example, as Glowboo is powered by Solar-Energy, his powers are all solar-based and therefore are commonly used as a light source.

Trivia[]

  • The Ectocaps might be a reference to the Compowder from Totally Spies, and the Power Morphers from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, as both are advanced gadgets with the power of communication and transformation.
  • While the user is in civilian form, the communication function of the Ectocap functions as a handheld device. When in hero form, the communication goes through the user's mask.
