—Trailer text

The Ghostforce MIPCOM 2014 trailer was an early CGI footage clip seen for Ghostforce while it was earlier in development. It was released during the 2014 MIPCOM event.[1]

Description[]

The trailer shows Andy transforming into his superhero alter ego Blue Punch with the help of an unidentified ghost. It used an early version of the Ghostforce theme song for its music during the transformation sequence.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first officially released footage of Ghostforce.
  • This is the first animated appearance of Andy.
  • Since this is the very first CGI footage clip of the series, Andy's design is very different than in the final version. Here, he's depicted as the blue Ghostforce member instead of the green member. And aside from wearing a different outfit, his hair is blue instead of strawberry blonde.
  • Prior to the promo release at MIPCOM, the transformation sequence portion from the trailer was uploaded on September 17, 2014, on the official ZAG Vimeo channel. However, the Vimeo version features a different logo near the end.[2]
  • There's a third version of Andy's early transformation sequence and it was animated by DQ Entertainment. It was released on September 14, 2019, on DQ Entertainment's Facebook.[3]
    • In the DQ Entertainment version, it doesn't feature the early Ghostforce theme song for its background music, lightning sound effects can be heard while Andy is transforming, and his ghost didn't let out a sinister laugh after it got out of its capsule. In addition, Andy stroked a different pose right before his ghost transforms him.
  • A clip of the video can be seen in the ZAG Heroez promotional video.
  • While his name wasn't stated anywhere in the video, the name of Andy's original superhero alter ego was Blue Punch which was revealed in an early promotional artwork for the series.[4]
