This article is about the character. You may be looking for the titular episode.

[The clones are] all identical. Unless... the original Glougloux doesn't follow the same pattern of movement as the others!

Miss Jones, "Glougloux"

Glougloux is a Level 8 wild ghost from the molecular family.

It was previously captured by Miss Jones when she was a former active member of the Ghostforce.

In "Glougloux", the ghost was released by Fury for a training room session with the second iteration of the Ghostforce. However, when the team used a teleportation pad to get out of the session, they accidentally teleported Glougloux with them and caused the ghost to escape the underground laboratory.

Appearance[]

In both its kawai and booster modes, Glougloux is a blue chicken-like ghost with bright pink eyes, black scleras, a pink beak, and pink toes. Its eggshell is white with blue and red swirling symbols.

Abilities[]

  • Flight: Unlike most ghosts, Glougloux can only hover in its kawai and booster mode.
  • Intangibility: Glougloux can phase through walls, floors, and generally solid objects. The only exception is when it is trapped in the Ghost Cloud or one of the Boo Caps.
  • Teleggportation: Glougloux can teleport in a spiral pattern like the patterns on its shell. However, its clones don't have the same powers as the original.
  • Multieggplication: Once it enters booster mode, Glougloux will leave an egg behind every time it teleports. Said egg would be cloned by the ghost that can be multiplied exponentially. It is estimated that Glougloux can clone up to thousands of eggs that can hatch once the ghost lets out a Spectral Scream.
  • Sonic Scream: Glougloux can let out a large Stunning Scream that would temporally stun its enemies hearing it. The scream would also become a Spectral Scream that can hatch all of its eggs into cloned versions of the ghost.
  • Egg Swarm: Once the eggs are all hatched, Glougloux can order its clones around so they can quickly overwhelm their enemies.
  • Take Shell-Ter: Glougloux can retreat inside its eggshell when in danger.

Trivia[]

  • Glougloux's name is a pun on the French onomatopoeia "glouglou", meaning "gurgle". It is also a play on the French word "glousser", the sound of a chicken.
  • According to the official Ghostforce website, Glougloux is from a rare specimen.[2]
  • While Miss Jones did mention that she once captured a member of the Mastaar and the Sharkoak specimens during her time as an active member of the Ghostforce, Glougloux is the first known ghost that was previously captured and stored in the Ghost Cloud before the second iteration of the team was formed. The next known ghost would be Bouncee.
    • Because of this, it doesn't technically have a nest shown in its featured episode since its Boo Cap preserves its cycle level.
  • Despite being a molecular ghost, there are two instances of Glougloux being mislabeled as a flexible ghost.
    • Its titular episode has an animation error where the flexible logo was shown on the computer interface while Glougloux was being sent to the Ghost Cloud.
    • This error also occurred on the Ghostforce Advent Calendar promotional event.
  • According to Miss Jones, it's possible that the Ghostforce can tame Glougloux once she successfully deciphers its Boo Energy.
  • Because the second iteration of the Ghostforce didn't recognize its Boo Cap, Glougloux is the first ghost they captured that is a Level 8.
  • Glougloux is the first known ghost to retain the same size and Boo Energy signature after entering booster mode. This allows the Ghostforce to easily capture it with a Boo Cap without needing to weaken it.
    • It also makes the third known ghost that the Ghostforce doesn't require summoning their respective tamed ghost for a finishing move, following Freezofear and Spong.
  • Glougloux is the first known ghost to be seen being used for the Ghostforce training session. It is also the first to be seen escaping from the lab after the Ghostforce accidentally teleports it from the training session.
