“ | I don't want Stacy to know. I know she's my sister and everything, but... she just doesn't get that I like different things. | ” |
—Jane, "Meta&Lix" |
Jane is a recurring character of Ghostforce. She is a student in Professor Pascal's class at the NYC school located in Manhattan, New York City. She is also the twin sister of Stacy and one of the two cheerleaders of the school.
Appearance[]
Jane is a slender preteen girl with fair skin, green eyes, and long, wavy blonde hair.
She regularly wears a cheerleading uniform, white knee-length socks, and white shoes. The uniform's top is mostly black with a yellow D initial sewn at the front, a yellow zigzag around the midsection, a yellow V-neck, a pair of yellow short sleeves, and a black pleated skirt.

Personality[]

Jane is said to be a bit nicer than Stacy with some indication that she only pretends to be mean.[2] She can be polite and grateful towards others, as shown when she once apologized to Liv Baker after bumping into her and admitting fault for not looking, but she seems to act that way whenever she is not in the presence of her sister. She secretly has a passion for modern art, a trait she shares with Liv, and once visited the museum to see an exhibition about Molano Freddo whom she described as the "modern [Leonardo] da Vinci". Jane also seems to be quite forgiving, having never held a grudge against Liv for supposedly "abandoning" her from a ghost attack in "Meta&Lix" because she fulfilled her promise of not telling anyone, including Stacy, about her interest.

Whenever Jane is trying hard to be mean, she blurts out whatever Stacy is thinking and is said to be good at improvising. However, she acts more like a follower who is often seen being bossed around by her, such as being chastised for finding an "old, moldy" firecracker to perform a social media challenge in "Kaboom". She also hates when other people assume she "joined at the hip" with her sister, having once given an honest retort that their hips are independent — albeit she didn't help her case when the twins unintentionally spoke it in unison.

However, despite being seen as a "nicer twin", Jane does have a nasty side where she can be mischievous and inconsiderate towards her classmates. While it's ambiguous if Jane is pretending to play along with Stacy, she is shown to be willing to assist in her sister's many schemes, such as setting back all the clocks at the school by an hour in "Batata" and pranking Rajat with a cake that has a firecracker in "Kaboom". Her unpleasantness was much more prominently shown in "Gumglue" when she suspected Mike and the Baker siblings might be members of the Ghostforce and was willing to expose them because she liked the idea of becoming famous, not once thinking about how it would impact her three classmates if the public find out about them. She also lacked any concern towards Stacy being transformed into a strawberry in "Jam Jam" and instead callously declared that she'd stop being her sister if Stacy continued to stay that way. As a result, it's completely uncertain if Jane genuinely hates pretending to be like Stacy and is only seen as "nicer" in comparison because of her meanness not being on the same level as her.
Relationships[]
Stacy[]

Stacy is Jane's twin sister and they're almost always seen together. However, despite having similar physical appearances, Jane acts more like a follower towards Stacy and is deeply frustrated by her not understanding that they can have different personalities and interests. Whenever Stacy makes a rude remark towards someone, Jane mimics her to make it seem like she is always "agreeing" with everything she says and wants to show that she can be just as nasty as she is.
Despite this, Jane still loves and cares about Stacy since the two see each other as best friends. She was disappointed when Professor Pascal chose not to pair them up for a morning assignment in "Meta&Lix" because he wanted their partner to be someone outside their usual friend circle. Jane would also sometimes be quick to grab onto Stacy to seek comfort and protection whenever they happened to encounter a ghost attacking nearby. In "Swip Swap", Jane briefly got to experience being in Stacy's body but was later relieved when she returned to her normal body after the Ghostforce captured Swip and Swap.
Charlie[]

Jane appears to be friends with Charlie since the latter runs the Ghost Blog to report the Ghostforce's heroic exploits. She and Stacy are sometimes seen talking to Charlie at school and watching any new content she posts on the blog, especially if Charlie happens to film Fury during the team's fight against a wild ghost. However, Jane is supportive of her friend's high appreciation towards Krush because Charlie always shows the twins footage of him and admits that he's her favorite member of the Ghostforce.
It's implied that Jane is somewhat aware of Charlie's crush on Mike since she once smiled at her friend dancing with him at the end-of-semester party in "Creepop". She eventually found out about the two both having mutual feelings in "Rozamour" after witnessing Charlie accept Mike's offer to go out on a Valentine's Day date with him, which Jane was shown to be happily approved of.
Andy Baker/Fury[]

Jane serves as Andy's cheerleader whenever he and Drake Miller have a basketball match at the NYC Dunk. But aside from that, she barely has any on-screen interaction with him because Stacy constantly picks on him at school.[2] In "Meta&Lix", Jane accompanied her sister in the school corridor so the latter could make fun of Andy and his friends for being a "geek clique". She was then offended when he pointed out Stacy's hypocrisy by stating that the twins were "joined at the hips". It is implied in Katastroph that Jane has a crush on Andy as she was cheering for him and supporting him instead of Drake
While Jane normally laughs at Andy whenever Drake is mocking him, she does sometimes find Andy himself to be quite funny. In "Mikroo", she laughed alongside the rest of their classmates when he taunted Drake after Professor Pascal gave the latter a ballerina figurine to represent himself. She also admired his confidence and charm in "Rozamour" after he managed to grab a crowd's attention with his juggling skills at their school fundraiser, to the point that she and Stacy both mistakenly assumed Andy was flirting with Charlie and initially thought they'll be a great couple together if Mike didn't step in to ask Charlie out first.
Jane doesn't know about Andy being secretly Fury, but she is a huge fan of his alter ego and often visits the Ghost Blog to watch him in action. She becomes excited whenever she gets a chance to meet him and, unlike her sister, openly expresses her gratitude whenever he rescues her from a ghost, which is best shown in "Arakgum" when she waves at him instead of brushing him aside. She puts her trust in Fury for his heroic deeds in Manhattan that when he once asked for her help to capture Jam Jam in its titular episode, she accepted it and was willing to fight back her frigophobia to save everyone from the ghost's attack.
Liv Baker/Myst[]

Jane originally didn't care much about Liv and saw her as someone Stacy would regularly pick on for "not girly enough".[2] It wasn't until "Meta&Lix" that Jane and Liv were forced to be partners for an assignment because Professor Pascal wanted his students to hang out with someone outside their usual friend circle and discover what they have in common before presenting to the entire class. Both girls didn't like the idea of spending their morning together because of how different they were, so Jane agreed with Liv to go their separate ways and lie to Professor Pascal during their presentation. However, she was later surprised when she accidentally bumped into Liv at the American Museum of Natural History and her partner accidentally discovered her interest in arts and science. Jane tried to deny it, but eventually gave in and opened up about her admiration for Molano Freddo.

Despite the girls' bonding time being short-lived because Liv supposedly abandoned her — not knowing that she was secretly Myst — during Meta&Lix's attack, Jane appreciated her for going through with her promise of not telling anyone about her secret passion for modern arts and secretly smiled at Liv when the latter returned her cellphone after Jane dropped it at the museum. She even once admitted that she began to like Liv's "style as much as Molano's". However, it's completely ambiguous if Jane still considers her a friend since she does laugh at her in "Ninja Ki".
Mike Collins/Krush[]

Jane is completely indifferent towards Mike despite the latter being the son of Michael Collins. When she witnessed Stacy sarcastically remarking that the twins' baby sister could tell better jokes than Mike in "Jinjoke", Jane laughed because she found it to be "funny and mean". Despite this, she was visibly concerned about Mike in "Batata" when Stacy peer-pressured him into entering Mr. Vladovsky's office so he can set back an extra hour on his clock for them.
While Jane barely gets to interact with Mike, she notices how he always tries to impress Charlie in the two aforementioned episodes. She was thrilled upon learning that he reciprocated Charlie's feelings in "Rozamour" after seeing him asking her out on a date on Valentine's Day.

In "Gumglue", Jane suspected Mike and the Baker siblings might secretly be members of the Ghostforce after the students all noticed Andy and Liv weren't with them when they were all stuck inside the museum during the titular ghost's attack. While it's completely ambiguous how much Jane was willing to discover the Ghostforce's secret identities, she did try to film and interrogate Mike about his friends' whereabouts without thinking about the consequences of exposing them.
Drake Miller[]
Unlike her sister, Jane doesn't seem to be fond of Drake because she always cheers for Andy whenever a basketball match is being held at the NYC Dunk.
In "Meta&Lix", she found Drake being Stacy's partner for their morning assignment to be unfair, presumably because Professor Pascal was supposed to pair the students up with someone outside their usual friend circle and overlooked the fact that Stacy already knew Drake.
Mr. Vladovsky[]
Like the rest of her classmates, Jane is afraid of Mr. Vladovsky and wants to avoid getting caught whenever she and Stacy are doing anything mischievous inside the school building.

Trivia[]

A concept art revealing Jane's original name being Lily.
- As revealed on the 2021 Ghostforce brand deck by Ypsilon Films, Jane's name was originally going to be "Lily".[3]
- Although Jane's name doesn't rhyme with Stacy in the final version, the twins still share a theme. Her name might be a reference to Mary Jane Watson, one of Peter Parker/Spider-Man's love interests in Marvel Comics.
- There was going to be a planned episode called "Karamba" which featured Jane dressing up for Taco Tuesday but got her feelings hurt by Liv's outspokenness.[3]
- Because her cheerleader outfit has the initial D, it is implied that Stacy and jane's last name starts with the letter D.
- In the English dub, Jane has a soft-spoken voice but only speaks in a Valley Girl accent whenever she mimics Stacy.
- Jane is the only female student who doesn't normally wear her hair in a ponytail, not counting the background students.
- Jane has many similarities to Zoé Lee from Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, another ZAG Heroez series. Aside from wearing an outfit that has a subtle bee motif and not having their hair tied up, both girls pretend to be like their respective sisters who are mean to their classmates. However, unlike Zoé who was willing to open up about her problems and her relationship with her sister got estranged as a result, Jane still kept her interests a secret and had only told Liv about them.
- "Burghorror" is currently the only episode where Jane appears without Stacy.
- As shown in "Biballoon", Stacy and Jane are implied to live in the same neighborhood as the Baker residence.
- It is implied in "Scaregrow" that Jane has an interest in gardening since she and Stacy are both shown to be excited about growing their peach trees at Central Park.
- In "Grump King", Jane claimed that her worst fear is being covered in pimples just like her sister. However, regardless of whether she was only pretending to share Stacy's fear, this likely stemmed from her experience being infected by Sporofungus's toxic fumes.
- "Jam Jam" revealed that Jane has frigophobia. While her fear seems odd to most people, it's possible she had a bad experience with strawberries that might have something to do with Jam Jam who's a strawberry-themed ghost.
- Jane might have a crush on Andy as shown in Katastroph when she's cheering for him instead of Drake
