Trivia[]

  • This is the fifth episode that doesn't open with a prologue, following "Bananice", "Dunky Boss", "Scaregrow", and "Kaboom".
  • This marks the first episode where a tamed ghost temporarily reverts into its wild state.
    • Because Glups is referred to with masculine pronouns unlike the previous known ghosts, he is the first featured ghost where the team doesn't exclusively use "it/its" pronouns.
    • It is also the first episode that doesn't feature the first appearance of a ghost since Glups was introduced in "Trashotic". Because this episode featured Glups as a wild ghost, it reveals a lot of information about him:
      • He is allergic to sunlight because it can cause him to become a wild ghost again. This explains why Glups never leaves the lab and must always stay with Miss Jones. In addition, the Manhattanites are still afraid of ghosts so they would unintentionally cause him to go into booster mode and he won't stop himself from attacking them because of his state of mind.
      • He has the power to spit out gelatin from his mouth, thus making him a member of the Viscous family.
      • He is also a merger ghost who can merge with anything if he ingests enough fear.
      • If he suddenly turns wild, he must be re-captured and placed back in the Boocloud to calm down before he permanently becomes a wild ghost again after consuming too much fear.
  • Ghosts are revealed to necessary feed on people's fear so they won't get hungry. While they feed on fear to grow bigger, they won't switch to booster mode if they don't ingest enough. And if they go to a certain period without ingesting more fear, they would shrink back to their kawai size.
    • Because Glups stays in the lab with Miss Jones, he would be fed two Scaryballs whenever he gets hungry. Miss Jones likely feeds Growmax, Dragoyle, and Octocat too whenever the main trio leaves them in the lab to recharge their medallions.
    • As revealed by Miss Jones, wild ghosts should never be fed, especially when they are in booster mode. Instead, the team must befriend a wild ghost so they can successfully tame it.
  • This is the second time a ghost escapes from the lab by using a portal meant for the Ghost Car after "Scream Scratch". Like that episode, the ghost's escape is an accident because a mishap causes the portal to turn on.
  • This is the seventh episode where the transformation sequence only features Andy and Mike after "Mikroo", "Chronoklok", "Jellystery", "Meta&Lix", "Cookieflame", and "Biballoon".
  • Two different posters of Ladybug from Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir can be seen at Times Square.
  • Based on Miss Jones's desperate warning to the team that they must capture Jellyjack, it's presumed she previously experienced having a tamed ghost permanently revert to its wild state.

Errors[]

  • Sometimes Glups's name is mistakenly pronounced with a long u ("ɡluːp") instead of a short u ("ɡlûːp").
