“ | Maybe. Cool jelly down and it hardens, but heat it up and it disintegrates. Or I dunno, gets even stronger? | ” |
—Krush, "Jellystery" |
Jellystery is a Level 4 wild ghost from the viscous family.
In "Jellystery", it was awakened from its nest after Asta accidentally touched it with a flying disk.
Appearance[]
Kawai mode[]
In its kawai mode, Jellystery resembles a yellow jelly. It has a rounded body, yellow eyes, black scleras, a red tongue, a single white tooth, and four small limbs.
Booster mode[]
In its booster mode, Jellystery gains a large shield made out of a layer of red jelly. It also gains four teeth on its upper jaw.
Abilities[]
- Flight: Jellystery can fly in both its kawai and booster modes.
- Intangibility: Jellystery can phase through walls, floors, and generally solid objects. The only exception is when it is trapped in the Ghost Cloud or one of the Boo Caps.
- Jelly Charge: Jellystery can transform anyone into inedible jelly by phasing through them.
- Jelly Bounce: In its booster mode, Jellystery can produce a shockwave of Boo Energy that turns anyone it encounters into jelly by bouncing onto the ground.
- Nephelokinesis: Jellystery can cause the sky to be covered in dark clouds in its booster mode.
- Adaptative Jelly: Jellystery is a very resilient ghost that can modify its abilities when it gets hit by an elemental attack for the first time after waking up. As demonstrated in its titular episode, the ghost's primary type was changed from toxic to ice after it was first hit by the Freonic Ghost Blaster. This allowed the ghost to temporarily adopt ice abilities that were used to turn people into frozen jelly instead.

Trivia[]
- As revealed on the 2021 Ghostforce brand deck by Ypsilon Films, Jellystery was originally going to be a pink ghost.[1]
- Jellystery's name seems to be a portmanteau of "jelly" and "mystery".
- Some official sources misspelled the ghost's name as "Jellysterry".
- The official Ghostforce website revealed that Jellystery is from an uncommon specimen.[2]
- There are two Jellysteries within the specimen that appeared near the end of the opening sequence; one being in its kawai mode and the other being in its booster mode.
- Jellystery's cycle level was never mentioned in its titular episode. Rather, it was only revealed in both the official Ghostforce website and an issue of the magazine series.[3]
- The ghost's nest being a bouncy ball is a reference to its booster mode's jelly bounce ability.
- Unlike other ghosts, Jellystery doesn't glow brightly while switching to booster mode.
- This is the first known ghost that can modify its primary type and abilities. Jellystery temporarily gained ice powers as a result of Myst first firing the Freonic Ghost Blaster at it.
