Trivia[]
- The following are the plants featured during Professor Pascal's class on photosynthesis:
- Mike: An elephant cactus
- Liv: Purple and blue flowers
- Drake: A fake "flower" created from sticky notes and popsicle sticks.
- Bobby: An Easter lily
- Carla: A small tree
- Charlie: Sunflowers
- Marlo: Sunflowers, white star-shaped flowers, and pink flowers
- Rajat: A hybrid amaranth
- Stacy: Yellow flowers and pink flowers
- Jane: Yellow flowers
- Professor Pascal: Pink flowers named Geraldine
- While not part of the class, Mr. Vladovsky keeps a decaying rose in his office.
- It's unknown what plant type Andy was supposed to bring to class after he accidentally left it at home.
- The pink and yellow flowers that Stacy, Jane, and Marlo have all share the same design as the flower from a bouquet the latter gave to his mother in "Sharkoak".
- Based on Melissa's comment that she hopes her son would "get a good grade for once", it's revealed that Andy doesn't perform well at school.
- Timothée Sadowski confirmed that Andy previously failed a grade, so he's forced to repeat a year. This explains why Andy is deeply concerned about disappointing his parents "once again" and getting another D on his assignment; he worries that he'll repeat the grade for a second time if he continues to fail.[3]
- This is the first official appearance of the interior of Andy's locker outside of the "Locker Ritual" sequence. The locker he used in "Pharaok" was an animation error.
- His locker door is shown to be decorated with a "Toads" basketball poster, a Michael Collins poster, and a picture of Fury.
- The Fury picture is taken from one of the series' promotional artworks.
- His locker door is shown to be decorated with a "Toads" basketball poster, a Michael Collins poster, and a picture of Fury.
- Andy breaks the fourth wall by smirking at the audience before sliding down from his desk to steal Geraldine.
- Andy and Drake are the only students in the class who don't bring a plant for their presentation. Yet, because of Professor Pascal's obliviousness, Drake gets a passing grade when the teacher falls for the fake "plant specimen".
- The only student who notices Andy's attempt to steal Geraldine is the boy sitting to his left. However, because the boy is a background student, he doesn't expose Andy to Professor Pascal and watches the argument between the Baker siblings.
- A magazine for Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir can be seen on the News Stand when Krik-Krok's vines grow near it. However, the magazine cover is taken from a promotional artwork that features Ladybug, Cat Noir, Tikki, and Plagg despite the latter two are kwamis whose existence shouldn't be publicly known.
- Miss Jones and Liv are both revealed to be environmentalists in this episode. The former was first hinted to be into protecting the environment when she created Boo Compost in her laboratory in "Trashotic".
- This is the fourth episode where Miss Jones must recharge Glowboo before sending him to capture a wild ghost after "Arakgum", "Artiflame", and "Xhypno".
- When Callaghan bravely tries to stop Krik-Krok, he refers to himself as a "lieutenant". This implies between "Trashotic" and this episode, he gets promoted because Roland originally calls him a "sergeant" in the former.
- After Krik-Krok goes booster mode, Krush calls him a "not-so-jolly green giant". This might be a reference to the mascot of Green Giant, an American brand of frozen and canned vegetables, whose name is "Jolly Green Giant".
- This is the first episode where a wild ghost negatively impacts the rivers surrounding Manhattan. In this case, Krik-Krok turned the Hudson River, the East River, and the New York Harbor green because of its plant powers.
- Because the Hudson River serves as a physical boundary between the states of New Jersey and New York, this is considered the third time parts of New Jersey get negatively impacted by a wild ghost's attack after "Pharaok" and "Mastaar".
- After Fury rescued his parents from Krik-Krok's attack at Times Square, he placed them at the parking garage for what seems to be a KassKrop Industry warehouse.
- Mr. and Mrs. Baker are revealed to be huge fans of Fury and see him as a great role model. This is ironic since they are unaware the superhero is secretly their son Andy who tends to be impulsive.
- Jay's line quoting Solar-Man, "With cool powers comes great responsibility", is based on a saying popularized by the Spider-Man comic books, "With great power there must also come great responsibility".
- Before Myst summons Octocat to weaken Krik-Krok back to its kawai form, Glowboo was meant to blast his orange beams at the ghost to weaken it, but had a system error and was unable to do so.
- Had Glowboo successfully weakened Krik-Krok, this would have been the third episode, where none of the Ghostforce members summoned their respective ghosts to weaken a wild ghost, following "Bananice" and "Trashotic".
Errors[]
- Although Krik-Krok had created a few vines earlier when Professor Pascal put its nest down on the school's official chest of drawers, the vines don't appear anywhere afterward that moment.
- When the school is first seen after the title card, Stacy and Jane's plants are miscolored as blue.
- After Professor Pascal gives Rajat an "A+" for his hybrid amaranth, Bobby's potted lily is accidentally placed on Marlo's desk.
- When Andy tries to steal Geraldine, the boy sitting next to him isn't seen in his seat. This error happens again when Liv says, "But that's stealing!", to Andy.
- When the Ghostforce transforms to face Krik-Krok, they are at the school. However, they are later seen flying from the New York City Harbor to the city.
- Melissa's and Jay's hair is miscolored gray before the camera zooms to see the New Yorkers panickly running away from Krik-Krok's vines at Times Square and later, when they and Serge Lightman also with gray hair, began to run away.
- After Fury saves his parents, Melissa is missing her lock of hair on her left side.
- When Fury uses his Flexi Boo to prevent Krik-Krok from attacking Krush and Glowboo, the rivers are in their normal blue color instead of green.
- The rivers are also blue when Krush fires his ice powers at Krik-Krok.
- Near the end of the episode, Andy's locker door is open to the left instead of the right.
