Pharaok is a Level 7 wild ghost from the bizarro family.

In "Pharaok", it was awakened after its nest dropped onto the floor of Mr. Vladovsky's office.

Appearance[]

Kawai mode[]

Pharaok resembles a golden Egyptian mask with blue stripes. Its face is yellow with distinctive orange markings around its eyes. It has yellow eyes, black scleras, giant yellow eyebrows, an orange tongue, two fangs, and an Egyptian postiche on its face. The ghost has a triangular crown on its head with a hieroglyph of a mummy being placed in a coffin. The lower part of its mask-like body has the crook and flail symbols.

Booster mode[]

Pharaok's booster mode is a more ornate version of its kawai form. Its postiche and body become pointer, its eyes become red, and the hieroglyph on its crown depicts a closed coffin. It also grows two floating arms that resemble triangular prisms. Some parts of its body have visible cracks, including its arms, postiche, left eyebrow, and the area where the crook and flail symbols are.

History[]

Pre-Season 1[]

Pharaok (082)

Pharaok was estimated to have first arrived on Earth between thirty-five and forty-six centuries ago. It crash-landed in Egypt during the reign of Pharases II and unleashed a strong heatwave before proceeding to wreak havoc by transforming various people into mummies. It then went into booster mode and created a Ghastly Pyramid that rapidly turned the ancient civilization into a desert. After reaching peak fear, Pharaok went to sleep inside Pharases II's funerary mask.

However, because there was a lack of full human records of ghosts, Pharaok's attack faded into legends with historians all mistakenly assuming that Pharases II was the one who built a pyramid in a single day before his death. Pharases II's funerary mask was discovered by archeologists before it was eventually owned by Michael Collins in Manhattan, New York City.

Season 1[]

Pharaok (04)

In "Pharaok", Mr. Collins lent the mask to the American Museum of Natural History for the closing ceremony of its Egyptian exhibition. Pharaok, who was still asleep inside the mask, briefly unleashed a desert heat aura and caused Ethan's smoothie to become hot. On the following day, the mask was taken from Mr. Collins's collection by his son Mike Collins who brought it to school. However, the mask was confiscated by Mr. Vladovsky after he recognized it as a ghost nest and placed it in his office. The mask later fell onto the floor and awakened Pharaok from its millennium slumber. The ghost released a strong heatwave all over New York City before it got out of the mask to terrorize the citizens.

Pharaok (100)

Pharaok escaped from Mr. Vladovsky's office and into the school foyer where it transformed Professor Pascal and nearly all the students into mummies, catching the Ghostforce's attention. It then left the school building and continued building up its mummy army to obtain Boo Energy. Pharaok was at Times Square when it noticed the Ghostforce standing on top of a truck. The ghost was about to fire a laser from its crown at the kids, only for them to all hear a nearby scream. It turned to the sound and saw Charlie whimpering in fear at an approaching mummy. Pharaok flew towards her, but Krush rushed to protect her and got transformed into a mummy by the ghost instead.

Pharaok (205)

Now capped with Boo Energy, Pharaok went into booster mode and created a Ghastly Pyramid in lower and midtown Manhattan. However, Fury and Myst eventually figured out the ghost's weakness was its mummy army and began using their Boo Attack to free them, causing Pharaok to slowly lose its mummification powers. After Krush was restored to normal by Fury, the kids successfully fought against the ghost and weakened it. Pharaok was then captured by Krush and sent to the Ghost Cloud where it now resides with the other captive ghosts.

In "Kaboom", Pharaok and Hypnolion were both chosen by Liv for the team to fight in a training session. They were later forcibly sent back into their respective Boo Caps after Miss Jones received an alert on the Boo Map about Kaboom's awakening at the school.

Bridge episodes[]

In "Freakking", Pharaok was asleep inside its Boo Cap when its Boo Energy was transferred to fuel the Boo Radiator.

Abilities[]

  • Flight: Pharaok can fly in both its kawai and booster modes.
  • Intangibility: Pharaok can phase through walls, floors, and generally solid objects. The only exception is when it is trapped in the Ghost Cloud or one of the Boo Caps.
  • Mummification Ray: Pharaok can fire a laser from its crown to transform anyone it hits into a mummy. Once it enters booster mode, the ghost will grow two arms that can shoot Mummification Rays as well.
  • Mummy Army: Every time Pharaok transformed people into mummies, they provide it with Boo Energy and make the ghost extremely resilient. However, hitting the mummies with any sort of Boo Attack can transform them back to their old human selves and deprive Pharaok of its powers.
  • Desert Heat Aura: In both its kawai and booster modes, Pharaok can unleash a strong paranormal heatwave that can potentially turn entire cities into deserts. Its heat aura is very strong that it can even overwhelm other ghosts and drain them of their Boo Energy.
  • The Great Pyramid: Once capped on Boo Energy, Pharaok can create a Ghastly Pyramid that causes anyone caught inside to experience tremendous heat. As the temperature quickly rises, this accelerates the process of turning its surroundings into a desert. Any ghosts who are inside the Ghastly Pyramid won't be able to escape from it, which was seen in "Freakking".

Trivia[]

  • Pharaok's name is a wordplay on "pharaoh", an ancient Egyptian ruler.
    • The crook and flail on the lower part of its body are symbols representing the power and authority of a pharaoh.
  • Both Pharaok and its nest have similar appearances to the funerary mask belonging to King Tutankhamun.
  • The official Ghostforce website revealed that Pharaok is from a unique specimen.[1]
    • This makes Pharaok one of the rarest ghosts that the Ghostforce ever captured since it is currently the only one from its specimen in existence.
    • Because of Pharaok's uniqueness, Miss Jones presumably discovered its existence after reading about Pharases II's reign and added the information to her supercomputer database.
    • The opening sequence further emphasized Pharaok being the rarest ghost within the specimen when it reused a clip from its titular episode and featured only one Pharaok within the group shot near the end.
  • There is another defense ability mentioned on the official website that is unused in its titular episode.
  • Pharaok's Ghastly Pyramid and having arrived on Earth from outer space are most likely derived from the pseudoscientific set of beliefs that extraterrestrial beings were involved with the construction of the Egyptian pyramids in ancient times.
  • Pharaok, Dinozos, Piraniak, Grump King, and Freakking are the only known ghosts to have been asleep in their nests for centuries before their eventual awakening.
  • A ghost chess piece for Pharaok was first seen in "Cyclopee".
