Raijin's like a battery, and it's recharging from the antenna!

Krush, "Raijin"

Raijin is a Level 6 wild ghost from the spectral family.

In "Raijin", it was awakened from its nest after a crew member of Solar-Man: The Movie turned on the electric generator to use its power as a camera battery.

Appearance[]

Kawai mode[]

Raijin resembles a white cumulus cloud with light-blue eyes and four fangs. It has a rounded body, a pair of small feet, and a pair of small floating front limbs. It also has a giant light-blue lightning bolt above its eyes that resembles a unibrow.

Booster mode[]

In its booster mode, Raijin resembles a giant white cloud. It gains three antennas that are shaped like lightning bolts; two on its head, and one sticking out from under its belly. Whenever the ghost charges itself with an electric current, its body becomes dark blue.

Abilities[]

  • Flight: Raijin can fly in both its kawai and booster modes. Despite having a speed of an actual cloud, it can move ten times faster once it converts electricity into Boo Energy.
  • Intangibility: Raijin can phase through walls, floors, and generally solid objects. The only exception is when it is trapped in the Ghost Cloud or one of the Boo Caps.
  • Spook-Circuit: Raijin can use its intangibility to overload and short-circuit any electric appliance.
  • Elekshock: In its booster mode, Raijin can fire thunderbolts from its antennas to attack its enemies. As demonstrated by Fury whose armor is fueled by Dragoyle's Boo Energy, any ghosts who get struck would have a large portion of their Boo Energy drained.
  • Charging Up: Aside from ingesting people's fear, Raijin can also convert electricity into Boo Energy so it can switch to booster mode. It can even connect its body to a powerful electric current to make its attacks stronger.
  • Tempestagenesis: Upon switching to booster mode, Raijin can cause the sky to be covered in storm clouds.
  • Raijin Storm: Once capped on Boo Energy, Raijin can either spook-circuit every appliance connected to a grid or fire a large thunderbolt that can be broken into smaller versions to attack multiple targets at once. This ability is unused, but confirmed on the official Ghostforce website.[1]
  • Raijin Cloud: In its booster mode, Raijin can manipulate clouds to protect itself from being seen by its enemies. This ability is unused, but confirmed on the official Ghostforce website.[1]

    • There are two Raijins within the specimen that appeared near the end of the opening sequence; one being in its kawai mode and the other being in booster mode.
  • Raijin is one of the many spectral ghosts that can change the weather in its booster mode. However, it was the second known ghost that attacked Manhattan with its electric-related powers, following Zipzap.
