Synopsis[]

Liv wants to help everyone who needs her, but she can't be everywhere at the same time! So when the Ghostforce takes on Raijin, a terrifying electric ghost who unleashes a tremendous storm over New York, Liv must learn to share the work with her friends!

Plot[]

The episode starts inside a van being opened by a man of the light team of the Baker parents's movie crew searching for a flashlight before being called by Mrs. Baker. When he leaves, he accidentally makes a box fall from a shelf, hitting a machine, who then starts to have a surge or electricity.

On the roof of the Baker's house, Liv is reading her magazine while eating her breakfast, shooting away a seagull. Andy then arrives and Liv notes he beat his record for sleeping in, saying it's 12:15 pm, to which Andy respond that he relaxes on weekends. He then asks where their parents are, his sister tells him they left to shoot their movie on the Brooklyn's Bridge, to which Andy wishes them good luck without the camera's battery, which is close to Liv and Andy. Liv receives a phone call from her father, saying they have a problem because of her mom, only for his wife to correct him saying that he caused it by forgetting the camera's battery. Liv assures them that she deliver it to them right away to her parent's relief. She then guesses her brother will stay home, and Andy agrees. When she leaves, Andy takes her spot while congratulating himself, implying he left the camera's battery at home on purpose.

When Liv leaves her house, she is called by Mike across the street, he tells her that Charlie wants to walk with him for her birthday, to which Liv says it's great, only for Mike saying it isn't because they are supposed to meet in 15 minutes and he doesn't have a birthday gift for her. He then asks Liv for her help, saying she will know what will make Charlie happy. She tries to tell him she has something else to do first, but Mike insists and she gives in to help him, but says they must hurry up.

On the bridge, the main actor asks if they can start because he's been waiting for an hour; he's getting sweaty and the sun starts to damage his skin. Mrs. Baker tells him it shouldn't be long and to be patient; while not sweating because it will screw up his makeup. Jay wonders what his daughter is doing, and his wife tells him they'll need to improvise, to his confusion. They decide to use an old generator to power up the camera, but when they start it, the generator starts to shake with electricity, and Raijin comes out of it. The ghost starts going through the machines and scaring everyone on the set, going for Mrs. Baker.

Meanwhile, Mike is wondering what Charlie would like while looking through a window shop of gadgets, to which Liv replies she would probably less something less geek like flowers, to which Mike wonders what she would do with flowers, and Liv tells him they need to hurry up. At this moment, they, alongside Andy who's sleeping back home, gets a call from Miss Jones, saying that while she was preparing them a surprise, a ghost showed up. She tells them about Raijin and that he is currently on the Brooklyn's Bridge, which immediately distress Andy and Liv as they say their parents are there, and Mike says shopping will have to wait, and the trio transforms into Ghostforce.

The trio arrives on the bridge while Raijin keeps rampaging and making machines go haywire, Fury asks where their parents are, Myst sees that they are safe behind their van, meaning they're good to go ghost hunting. They try to chase him down and Myst shoots him a boo capsule to catch Raijin, who dodges and goes to scare the main actor on the top of the bridge, scaring him, which gives Raijin enough power to go into Booster Mode. He then tries to attack the actor, only to fail, he then sees a huge antenna on a building being hit by lighting, and he flies to gets his powers boosted. Jay apologizes to the trio, saying they just wanted to shoot their movie, to which his wife also says their daughter was late to bring them the camera's battery forcing them to improvise. Myst apologize saying it's all her fault, Fury corrects her saying it's their mission to stop that ghost. As they fly away to chase Raijin, the actor ask if someone could help him getting down the bridge.

While going after Raijin, Krush asks Myst why she didn't tell him that she needed to bring her parents a battery, to which she replies that because he needed a gift and she thought she could do both, which puzzles Fury who is in disbelief that she thought she could be in 2 places at the same time. They arrive at the building at the same time as Raijin, who begins to get charged by the lighting from the antenna. Krush notify Miss Jones that the ghost is in booster mode, and she replies that she is sending them her little surprise because the situation makes it impossible to wait for it. Raijin then sends an electrical wave around him, cutting the Ghostforce's communication with Miss Jones while also sending electrical interferences that makes them cover their ears in pain from the noise. Fury gets hit by a lighting bolt, sending him off to a huge fall, Raijin attacks Myst and Krush, who evades his attacks and Krush catches Fury and flies him to safety on a building's roof, and they ask if he's alright. Fury says he is ok but that the lighting drained almost all of his boo energy. As Raijin prepares another attack, he gets attacked by behind to the surprise of the trio.

An orange ghost appears, to which Fury ask who this is, and Krush deduces that he's the little surprise Miss Jones was talking about. The new ghost then goes fighting Raijin across the city, while Myst wonders what his powers are, to which Fury says he has no idea but he sends boo. The new ghost and Raijin keeps fighting, and Raijin lends a lighting on the new ghost, but then loses power, forcing him to go recharge to the antenna's again. Krush sees that Raijin is like a battery using the antenna to recharges himself. Myst tells the boys to go help the new kid while she goes to short circuit the antenna, which Krush refuses saying he's coming with her, but she insists she needs to do this alone, saying Fury almost has no boo energy left so he should stay with him. Fury tells her that she can't start trying to do everything alone again, to which Myst relents and she and Krush goes to fight Raijin, and tells Fury to be careful, to which he ask who she takes him for before he flies to go help the new guy.

Myst and Krush teleports close to the fight. Raijin launches an attack in the sky, causing it to move above the orange ghost. Fury arrives and blocks the attack with his shield. He then asks who the orange ghost is, but they get attacked again and they go hide behind a building. Fury asks him who he is under his costume, and the ghost replies he is Glowboo, saying he is happy to meet Andy, to which Fury replies in the like before wondering how he knows his name, asking if they know each other, to which Glowboo says they do now, and reintroduces himself. Fury says he heard it, but asks who he is under his costume, asking if he goes to their school and is in the same class as them, before worryingly asking if he's Drake, and Glowboo just says his own name again. Raijin discovers them and prepares to attack them, but he notices Myst's portal above him, and she prepares to shoot the antenna that recharges him. Raijin attacks her but she's defended by Krush's powers, and shoots a spectral arrow from her weapon. Raijin launch an attack to the sky which falls on the arrow, destroying it. Myst says they need to find a way to distract him, Glowboo says he was programmed to cause distractions, flies up to Raijin and launch a boo energy attack that depowers Raijin. Myst then shoots another arrow, successfully hitting the antenna and she makes it stop receiving any more lighting. Myst then use Octocat to weaken Raijin and captures him in a boo capsule.

With the ghost captured, the city returns to normal. Glowboo says the objective is over and he can return to the laboratory, but seems to act weird, to the team's confusion. Back to the lab, Andy asks who's the guy under Glowboo's armor, to which Miss Jones replies that he's not a guy, he's an A.I, and artificial intelligence, to which Mike says he's just a robot. Miss Jones angrily says he's not one, he functions thanks to a computer algorithm, programmed to do the same missions as them, but unfortunately he still has some bugs. Liv is impressed, saying she built it all by herself, and Miss Jones says almost, vaguely saying she got some help. Andy finds it cool, saying that now that there is four of them is sister won't feel the need to do everything herself. Liv then asks Mike about his date with Charlie, he says Charlie messaged him to tell him that they would report it to the next day because of the bad weather created by the ghost. Liv then gets a phone call from her dad, and she tells him she's on her way to deliver the battery, but her mom takes Jay's phone and tells her that Jay also forgot the memory card, so they are gonna do the shoot another time which means she doesn't need to come give them the battery. Liv says that she thinks that they are nowhere near finishing their movie, which makes them all laugh, ending the episode.

Trivia[]

  • This episode occurred on a Saturday since Andy mentions it's "the weekend".
  • When Liv and Andy are on the rooftop of their home, Liv is seen reading a comic book about Solar-Man. The in-universe comic book is likely published to promote Solar-Man: The Movie that the Baker parents are filming.
  • Charlie's birthday occurred in this episode. While it's unknown how old she is, she likely turned either 12 or 13.
  • When Mike panicked that he didn't have a gift for Charlie's birthday, he stood in front of a purple abstract backdrop and a lightning strike behind him. This foreshadows Raijin's power since one of its abilities is to create lightning strikes.
  • When Myst tries to capture Raijin, she throws a Boo Cap but misses. As a result, the Boo Cap is left under the Brooklyn Bridge for the remainder of the episode.
    • However, it's likely the team later retrieve the Boo Cap off-screen.
  • This is the fourth episode in which a wild ghost caused a storm to occur in Manhattan when it's in booster mode, after "Bananice", "Mastaar", and "Zipzap".
  • This episode marks the first official appearance and mission of Glowboo. It also revealed that Miss Jones has been in the works of it for a very long time.
    • She was able to finish the final touches for it, and as of this episode, the Ghostforce now has a new member who will help them on missions whenever needed.
    • She also reveals that she had help from an "old friend of [hers]" building Glowboo. That "old friend" might be Glups since Miss Jones can't leave the lab because of her status as a half-ghost.
  • When Fury first meets Glowboo and is surprised that Glowboo knows his name, he sarcastically asks if they are in the same homeroom together since Glowboo mentioned that they already "know each other". He also briefly asks Glowboo if he's secretly his rival Drake.
    • The entire accusation might have been a nod to how before the series made its worldwide release, Glowboo's identity was initially unknown, leading to many fans theorizing that Drake is secretly Glowboo. Eventually, it was later revealed that Glowboo is an artificial intelligence android. The revelation of this to the main trio from Miss Jones within the episode might also be parallel to the fans finding out from Lindalee Rose on Instagram after she answered a fan question about Glowboo.[4]

Errors[]

  • Andy is not shown sitting in the chair when Liv is leaving the house.
