“ | That's an unlikely theory, but an interesting one. We could try a little experiment. | ” |
—Rajat, "Gumglue" |
Rajat is a recurring character of Ghostforce. He is a student in Professor Pascal's class at the NYC school located in Manhattan, New York City.
Appearance[]
Rajat is an Indian-American preteen with olive skin, brown eyes, and black hair styled in a bowl cut.
He wears a black sweater vest with a green and white argyle pattern over a turquoise polo shirt. He also wears black rounded glasses, light brown jeans, green socks, and dark brown shoes.
- For more of Rajat's outfits and designs, see Rajat/Designs.
Personality[]

Rajat being smug towards Mike.
Rajat is a smart and confident star student of the school. He is usually nice and friendly towards his peers, but because he is often the second top of the class right behind Mike Collins, he is very competitive and takes pride in wanting to prove to everyone, including himself, that he is a genius. He would get easily jealous whenever he gets upstaged by someone, especially Mike and Liv, and doesn't take well to losing against them.

Rajat working with Stacy and Jane to test out a theory on the Ghostforce's secret identities.
As seen in "Gumglue", Rajat can become stubborn and persistent whenever he sets his mind on solving a problem. When he noticed that three of the Ghostforce members didn't immediately show up to fight Gumglue, Rajat was interested in the theory of the heroes being stuck in the museum with the entire class and was willing to test it out as an experiment. However, his determination had clouded his judgment and prevented him from thinking about the potential fallout of exposing the Ghostforce's secret identities to the public. While it's completely ambiguous if he realized that his curiosity had caused him to act pushy and irrational throughout the incident, Rajat stopped pressuring Mike and the Baker siblings upon being tricked into thinking they couldn't possibly be the Ghostforce.
Despite his flaws, Rajat is a kindhearted and mildly decent person who enjoys spending time with his classmates. As seen in "Meta&Lix", he can be reluctant to bond with someone who doesn't share the same interests as him and prefers to be alone if his close friends aren't around. However, he likes getting to know his peers better if he manages to find any common ground between them. "Bubble-Brush" further shows that he is willing to set aside his competitiveness and have fun with his friends if his mind isn't focused on his pride. He also seems to genuinely like sharing what he learns with his classmates, such as letting Stacy and Jane know that the spiders they are studying are harmless in "Gumglue" and telling Marlo that hot dogs were invented by a German immigrant in "Mascarade".
Relationships[]
Charlie[]

Rajat impressing Charlie with his knowledge on hot dogs.
Rajat has a crush on his best friend Charlie and enjoys hanging out with her since they bond over their shared interest in the Ghostforce. He wants to do whatever he can to help his friend, such as accompanying her to do paranormal investigations for the Ghost Blog, but his lack of confidence around her causes him to constantly make mistakes .[2] This was first shown in "Troublestretch" when he didn't know the name of a ghost specimen for one of her pop quiz questions and made up the answer by calling Sharkoak a "molar ghost". He and Charlie are said to get along so well that he knows that Charlie would never get angry with him for his mistakes. However, it's completely uncertain if Rajat knows she already has feelings for Mike since the former was never seen confessing his feelings for her before she started going out on dates with his rival.
In "Zipzap", Charlie and Rajat were playing Spook Out at Central Park where they both took notice of a new player known as "The Slammer" joining the game and already ranking in the top three.
In "Mascarade", Rajat successfully managed to impress Charlie with a fun fact about hot dogs while she and Carla were in the middle of live-streaming for the Ghost Blog.
Marlo[]

Despite Charlie being Rajat's best friend, he mostly hangs out with Marlo in the series. Their friendship isn't shown in-depth, though, because their interaction occurs in the background where they would talk to each other either at the school entrance or in the hallways.
In "Mascarade", Rajat gave Marlo a fun fact about hot dogs right before Charlie and Carla decided to film him for the Ghost Blog.
In "Criangle", Rajat agreed with Marlo that New York City is like a series of shapes and sizes since the skyscrapers are like big rectangles.
Mike Collins/Krush[]

Rajat competing against Mike.
Mike and Rajat are both the star students at the NYC school. However, Rajat considers Mike to be a rival for his intellect since the former is often the second top of the class after him. His jealousy was first shown in "Bananice" when he sarcastically asked Mike if he and the Baker siblings thought the Bananice popsicle was an underestimated ecological force.
Rajat would compete against Mike so he can prove that he is smarter than him, such as winning the final round of the New York Science Fair with his Robo-Baker against Mike's electromagnetic bubble transmitter in "Levisfer". He later participated in the KassKorp Industry's Best Engineer competition, but he was disappointed upon learning that he lost the award to Mike in "Panikokado". As shown in "Boopsie", Rajat's jealousy reached a point where he laughed at Mike's misfortune after witnessing his presentation notebook being accidentally destroyed by Andy.

Rajat having a friendly conversation with Mike.
Despite their rivalry, Rajat has mutual respect for Mike and sees him as a friend whenever they aren't competing against each other. He accepts Mike for his true self and understands that he has nothing in common with his father Michael Collins. In "Chronoklok", Rajat was impressed by Mike's smartwatch and curiously asked him if it could automate the entire Collins Tower. He also feels bad for Mike whenever he gets bullied by Drake, such as when the latter scoffed about the watch being possibly given by Mr. Collins to secretly pressure Mike into pursuing basketball.
Rajat is willing to put aside their conflicts and hang out with Mike on some occasions because they both share the same interests in science and technology, as shown in "Bubble-Brush" when he attends Techno Expo with Mike and the Baker siblings to see the RXX TV 2000 together.

Rajat suspecting Mike to be a Ghostforce member.
He doesn't know that Mike is secretly Krush, but Rajat almost comes close to figuring it out during the incident of "Gumglue". He was quick to notice Mike's suspicious behavior about the Baker siblings' sudden disappearances while Fury and Myst both showed up on the scene at the same time. However, because Rajat wanted to prove the theory that the Ghostforce is secretly part of the class, he began to act nosy towards his friend; he interrogated Mike on the Baker siblings' whereabouts before accusing them as members of the Ghostforce. When Andy and Liv both finally returned from the fight and tricked everyone into thinking they were in the museum the whole time, Rajat left Mike alone but didn't apologize for his behavior because the former was so upset about the theory being wrong.
Andy Baker[]

Rajat and Andy don't hang out with each other, but he seems to see him as a friend. He attended Andy's surprise birthday party at the Baker residence in "Agia" and laughed in amusement when he was unable to blow out a trick candle on his cake.
In "Meta&Lix", Rajat was reluctant about being partners with Andy for Professor Pascal's morning assignment. He wanted to be alone and read his physics book at the NYC Dunk, but Andy insisted that he should give basketball a try and dragged him to shoot some hoops. Rajat ended up accidentally getting stuck onto a basketball hoop after Andy misaimed his throw, which indirectly caused him to get kidnapped by Meta and Fury came to his rescue. The incident nonetheless led to the boys discovering that making a slam dunk requires calculating the perfect trajectory, so they both presented their findings to the class.
Liv Baker[]

Rajat unamused about Liv scoring another point in "Troublestretch".
Rajat is friends with Liv since they both attended the Techno Expo with Andy and Mike in "Bubble-Brush." However, he is shown to be jealous of her intellect on two separate occasions.
In "Troublestretch", he became increasingly frustrated with not being able to earn any score at Charlie's Ghostforce quiz because Liv brought her so-called lucky charm that helped her correctly answer every single question for her team. It had gotten to the point that he became superstitious and almost quit before the second round could begin. He was at first appreciated when Liv kindly gave him the lucky charm to help him feel better. However, much to his chagrins, even it didn't provide him with any luck after he gave an incorrect answer to his first question.
While Rajat didn't have a speaking role in "Chaorion", he was visibly annoyed when Liv correctly answered every single question about astronomy during Professor Pascal's lecture.
Glowboo[]

Rajat flattered by Glowboo's compliment.
Rajat recognizes Glowboo as a member of the Ghostforce. Their first direct interaction was in "Levisfer" where it revealed that he knows Glowboo is an artificial intelligence after he thanked the latter for complimenting his Robo-Baker as being "almost as advanced as [him]".
Carla[]
Rajat doesn't have a lot of interaction with Carla, but he seems to be friends with her.
In "Grump King", it's revealed that he finds her weird and reminds his classmates that Carla once mistook her hair dryer for an alien laser beam.
Stacy and Jane[]

Rajat teaming up with Stacy and Jane to interrogate Mike.
Rajat is implied to be friends with the twins since he is surprisingly shown to get along with them.
In "Gumglue", Rajat was intrigued by the twins' theory that three of the Ghostforce members might be their classmates. So, he teamed up with them to see if it was true and helped them potentially become famous by exposing the heroes' secret identities. The three quickly deducted Mike and the Baker siblings as their prime suspects, but right before they could interrogate Mike about it, Andy and Liv both returned just in time. Rajat and the twins were all tricked into thinking their three classmates couldn't possibly be members of Ghostforce when they fell for Andy's claim that he and Liv were in the museum the entire time, leading them to abandon the theory altogether.
Rajat seems to find Stacy to be funny since he laughed at her sarcasm in "Chaorion" when she asked if the class was going to watch dinosaurs in space with Professor Pascal's megascope.
Drake Miller and Bobby[]

Rajat being grabbed onto by Bobby.
Rajat is neutral towards Drake and Bobby despite he doesn't interact with them a lot. He is intimidated by Bobby's strength, as shown in "Mizuo" when the latter briefly aggressively grabs him and asks if he has any water for Drake.
As seen in "Mikroo" and "Creepop", Rajat laughs at Drake's expense whenever Andy ridicules him as payback for being a bully towards Mike. However, both "Trashotic" and "Vochaos" have shown that Rajat would find Drake's mockery towards Andy to be amusing too.

A scared Rajat holding onto Drake.
Rajat was briefly seen leaping onto Drake's arms in "Dinozos" upon the awakening of the titular ghost in front of the entire class. He was also part of a small crowd to check out Drake's Powergold smartphone that the latter received on his birthday, though it's likely Rajat was more fascinated by the phone itself for being a newly-released product on the market instead of Drake's status as the "greatest person" for owning it.

- "Cyclopee" implies that Rajat doesn't like encyclopedias since he reacts in horror when Krush tells everyone to get out of the school library before the titular ghost can copy the entire encyclopedia section.
- Despite Rajat doesn't have an interest in playing basketball, "Mizuo" is the only episode where he is seen participating in the game.
- Not counting Drake, Rajat is the first of the main trio's classmates to be seen directly interacting with Glowboo.
