—Serge reading his lines, "Xhypno" |
Serge Lightman[2] (real name unknown) is a recurring character of Ghostforce. He is a famous actor who is playing the main role of Solar-Man, an in-universe fictional superhero from Solar-Man: The Movie.
Appearance[]
Serge is a muscular man with blond hair and greenish-blue eyes.
His Solar-Man costume consists of a two-tone blue and yellow latex suit, a yellow and black belt, golden goggles, a blue mask, yellow boots, yellow gloves, and a yellow cape. On his chest is an eight-pointed star emblem.
Personality[]
Serge is handsome, charming, and proud. He has a passion for acting and is aware of his dedicated fanbase because of his role as Solar-Man, often interacting or flirting with his fans as the fictional superhero.
Ironically, despite Solar-Man being described to be "the most courageous and powerful hero to have ever walked the earth or flew the cosmos", Serge is the exact opposite of his character.[2] He can get easily frightened whenever there's a ghost attack, often screaming every time he sees one before trying to run and hide from it.
While Serge likes being an actor, he tends to forget his lines and would often try to correct himself during filming. In "Krik-Krok", he almost said Solar-Man's catchphrase wrong before the titular ghost attacked Times Square but managed to run away before the directors realize his mistake. Because of both his cowardness and forgetfulness, Serge would often suffer from self-doubt about his skills and talents. After he failed to remember a line after nearly two hundred takes in "Mascarade", he began questioning if acting was something he wanted to do in life and believed himself to be a "lousy actor" even when he was under the influence by one of the Mascarade triplets. Eventually, he managed to get his line right after the Ghostforce captured the ghost triplets, restoring his self-confidence to continue acting.
Relationships[]
Jay Baker and Melissa Baker[]
Serge works for Jay and Melissa during the filming of Solar-Man: The Movie.
Andy Baker[]
Serge doesn't know Andy very well but he seems to recognize him as the son of the film directors he's currently working with. The only time he interacted with Andy directly was in "Trashotic" when he politely asked him to move aside from his makeup table so he could prepare himself for the shoot.
Stacy[]
In "Xhypno", Serge met one of his fans Stacy when he was at Central Park to film a scene. When an actress walked out on the shoot and Stacy auditioned to be her replacement, Serge applauded for her acting skills despite her ear-splitting scream.

Trivia[]

Liv reading a Solar-Man comic book featuring Serge.
- An early design for Serge in his superhero costume was shown in a concept art posted by Ambrogio Sarfati on his ArtStation.[3]
- It's currently unknown what the actor's real name is. Multiple official materials for the series would address the actor by the civilian name of his in-universe character.[2][4]
- Despite the Solar-Man costumes all having a cape, an animation error occurred in "Trashotic where Serge's costume doesn't have one.
- Because of his role as Solar-Man, Serge would in-character sign his name as the superhero he is starring as.
- While Serge is only playing Solar-Man, he was featured in a tie-in comic book issue that was made to promote the film he's starring in. Both Andy and Liv Baker can be seen reading said comic book in "Raijin" and "Burghorror" before they later have it sold in a garage sale in "Paniclick".
- Serge is featured in a billboard promoting the film in "Meta&Lix".
- As revealed in "Mascarade", Serge previously worked as a plumber before he pursued acting.
- In "Panikokado", Serge played Solar-Man for the Solar-Man on Ice show at Times Square on Christmas Eve.
