Miss Jones, "Turbokorn"

Note: It's unknown what the official name of this ghost specimen is. For consistency and readability, the ghost would be addressed by its merger name "Turbokorn" until there is confirmation from any official sources.

This unnamed ghost specimen is a wild ghost from the fractal family.[note 1]

In "Turbokorn", it was awakened from its nest at the American Museum of Natural History when an employee cleaned the giant bell exhibition. It later merged with a sports car and briefly became Turbokorn.[note 2]

Appearance[]

Kawai mode[]

In its kawai mode, it is a brown ghost with white eyes, four white fangs, and a pair of orange eyebrows. It has a pair of orange horns on the sides of its head, a pair of limbs that have three orange spike-like claws, and two spikes at the lower part of its body.

As Turbokorn[]

Upon merging with a sports car, the ghost's entire body changed to resemble its receptacle. Its eyes appeared on the car's windshields, while its mouth replaced the front bumpers and headlights. The front wheels of the car were replaced with a giant pair of horns that resembled tusks. The car's doors and interior completely disappeared, but it became dark orange with shiny bronze accents. Turbokorn also gained razor-shaped teeth and a pair of small horns on the car's roof.

History[]

Season 1[]

Turbokorn 062

At an unknown point in time, the ghost found a giant bell and began using it as a nest. In "Turbokorn", the giant bell was displayed at the American Museum of Natural History for a life-size exhibition. The ghost was briefly disturbed from its slumber when Ethan was about to touch the bell before his mother scolded him for it. However, the ghost finally woke up when an employee noticed a speck of dirt on the bell and gently rubbed it with a handkerchief. It then terrorized everyone inside the museum by turning them into metal statues. Mike Collins, who was there with Carla, was luckily able to hide from the ghost and transformed into Krush to alert his teammates about the attack.

The ghost then left the museum and headed towards Central Park, not knowing the Ghostforce was on their way there. It was approached by Krush who threw a Boo Cap towards it, but the ghost dodged it before flying away. The ghost noticed a crowd surrounding the world's fastest car with Alice Spancer reporting for the news channel. The rest of the Ghostforce members arrived too late to stop the ghost because it had merged with the car and became Turbokorn. Gaining the ability to travel at a fast speed, Turbokorn turned the crowd into metal statues before it left the park and went to the Brooklyn Bridge.

Turbokorn 180

The Ghostforce was unable to stop Turbokorn at the Brooklyn Bridge because of how fast it went, so the team resorted to using the Ghost Car to chase after it. Turbokorn was traveling towards Times Square when Myst suddenly fired Katastroph's kitty goo from the Ghost Car's cannon towards it. It counterattacked the heroes by firing multiple petrifying ammos from behind, which the team swiftly dodged. However, because Fury was driving the Ghost Car, Turbokorn managed to get away when the vehicle crash-landed into the sewers after he recklessly drove into the kitty goo and stained the right engine.

Later, Turbokorn had turned everyone at Times Square into metal statues and was about to leave, but the Ghostforce came back for a second round; this time with Myst behind the wheels while Fury aimed the cannons. Fury fired a kitty goo at the back right wheel of Turbokorn and provoked it into another chase. As the two vehicles flew up towards the sky, Turbokorn fired its ammo towards the Ghost Car which rained down into Manhattan but the team once again dodged them. Fury then fired another kitty goo towards Turbokorn and successfully trapped it onto the side of the Empire State Building. This allowed Myst to release Octocat and deboosted Turbokorn to its kawai mode before capturing it, restoring everyone to normal. It was later sent to the Ghost Cloud where it now resides with the other captive ghosts.

Abilities[]

  • Levitation: The ghost can levitate in both its kawai and booster mode.
  • Intangibility: The ghost can phase through solid objects. The only exception is when it is trapped in the Ghost Cloud or one of the Boo Caps.
  • Possession: As a merger ghost, the ghost can gain additional powers by possessing objects. The only receptacle it was seen merged with was a sports car.

The ghost can turn living beings into metal statues by phasing through them. As Turbokorn, it gained the ability to move at a fast speed and fire petrifying ammo out of its exhaust pipes. It could even blow out exhaust fumes to defend itself, but the fumes won't physically harm any nearby individual.

Trivia[]

  • Turbokorn's name is a play on the Turbo cornutus, a species of horned sea snails. "Turbo" is also an English word that refers to a vehicle's turbocharger, while "cornutus" is a Latin word for "horn".
  • Turbokorn's appearance when merged with a sports car heavily resembled Lightning McQueen from the Cars franchise.
  • Being a metal ghost, its nest was a giant bell that had a carving of a bull's face.
  • Given Miss Jones's comment about Turbokorn's speed, its receptacle allowed it to move much faster than Flame.
  • This is the first ghost that required the Ghostforce to use the Ghost Car to capture it.
  • During the chase, Turbokorn indirectly caused Nolan Kasenti to recognize the Ghost Car as Miss Jones's handiwork when the heroes drove past him. This eventually culminated in "Grump King" where he realized that Miss Jones was hiding somewhere in Manhattan after a news channel featured a photo of the Ghost Car being driven at night.
